CRUISIN' 1967

GENUINE CRUISIN' VINYL REELRADIO and The Ron Jacobs Collection are proud to present CRUISIN' 1967, the fourteenth and final release of the original CRUISIN' series, featuring Dr. Don Rose on WQXI, Atlanta. This is another brilliant re-creation of Top 40 Radio carefully digitized from a VINYL copy of the original release. CRUISIN' THE FIFTIES AND SIXTIES introduced a generation to the origins of Rock 'n' Roll radio. The authentic Increase Records albums are highly-prized collectibles. Our thanks to Whodaguy Ron Jacobs.

Johnny Hill, Sonny Palmer, WCOL-FM Columbus OH October 1962

Johnny Hill counts down the Music Meter and then, with great fanfare, it's time for young Sonny Palmer. Thanks to The John Quincy Collection!

-

Don Geronimo, WBBM-FM Chicago, IL. May 1984

This was one of contributor David Critchfield's favorite California Aircheck recordings. Don Geronimo is having fun on this 1984 WBBM-FM recording.

Michael Jackson Gone Too Soon, by Lee Chambers

Thanks to The Lee Chambers Collection for this short but effective tribute to The King Of Pop.

"... Todd (Storz) and some others were sitting around figuring out what they could do on their station and they noticed that WDSU had a program called the Top 20. And they thought if the Top 20 was successful, that the Top 40 would be even better - and that's what they said - We're going to be twice as good as WDSU 'cause we're gonna play - The Top 40."
